Developing and implementing effective energy efficiency policies and programs is widely recognized as being critical if humankind is to reduce their reliance on fossil fuels. While important progress has been made over the past few decades, much more needs to be done.
This textbook is a critical learning tool as there will be tremendous need for senior undergraduate and graduate students in a wide range of organizations.
The text is divided into three sections.
1. Theories and policies applicable to all jurisdictions, containing 11 chapters with links to references and further readings.
2. Ten case studies, including BC, Alberta, Ontario and Nova Scotia.
3. Sample course materials, such as templates for Cabinet Submissions, Briefing Notes, Regulatory Submissions, Building Audits, informative videos, articles and mid-term tests.
