What can Dr. Fischedick offer to your work priorities of taking real action on climate change, and creating clean jobs and investment?

 

1) As the Vice President at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy and a professor at the Schumpeter School of Business and Economics at the University of Wuppertal, Dr. Fischedick's work and research provides resources for pathways to effective renewable energy/clean tech policy and sustainable economic development in Canada as ways of addressing climate change.

2) Drawing on his expertise as the lead author of a chapter on “Industry” with the 2014 UN International Panel on Climate Change Report, Dr Fischedick brings his expertise and experience to our current discussions in Canada about climate change and transitioning to a robust renewable energy economy.

3) Through his work with the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) commissioned by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Dr. Fischedick can offer resources for decarbonization pathways and effective policy in Canada to move to a renewable energy economy as well as meet its UN COP 21 climate change commitments.

4) As the Director of the Future Energy and Mobility Structures Division in the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy and an adviser to the governments and the business sector, Dr Fischedick brings invaluable breadth to current discussions of renewable electricity, clean infrastructure and buildings, and sustainable transportation across Canada.
